The Aventon Level - Class 3 Power at a Class Act Price

One way or another, a bike’s job is to get you from A to B with as much comfort, enjoyability, and reliability as possible. The latest from Aventon manages to hit those marks and then some, and it does so without breaking the bank. The all new Aventon Level is an absolutely feature packed beast of a bike. The 750W, 48V brushless rear hub motor manages to sustain a powerful throttle up to 20mph, but that’s not even the half of it. Switch to pedal assist, and you’re looking at a whopping 28mph top speed. That’s right. Class 3 speed in a super affordable package. It’s range is advertised at 40 miles on a full charge thanks to a large and sleek integrated battery, one that’ll go from dead to full after just 4-5 hours of recharging. It comes stock with the super dependable Shimano Acera 8-speed drivetrain, some chunky 2.2” Kenda tires on sturdy 27.5” rims (the front wheel even comes as a thru-axle!), and if that wasn’t enough it has a Suntour suspension fork with 75mm of travel. But since solid componentry at an inexpensive price is clearly not enough for them, Aventon went ahead and pushed the limit even further by adding some impressive goodies right out of the box. It comes with a really solid rear rack, an easy-to-use rear mounted kickstand, and some pretty high quality pedals. If you haven’t noticed yet, they seriously pulled all the stops on this thing.

When riding the Level, it’s immediately apparent that this thing will take you wherever you want to go -- and fast! The front suspension and those cushy tires really make for a smooth ride, and sitting on that plush saddle really makes this thing feel like you’re piloting a recliner with a motor strapped on. It’s genuinely that comfy. It’s honestly a little overwhelming the first time you hit that 28mph mark and start passing cars with ease, but you grow to love it pretty fast. Having so much control around traffic is a pretty massive game changer in terms of safety, but also in terms of whether or not you’ll want to be hopping in your car or hopping on your bike. It’s as fun as it is capable, and unlike your car you’re getting fresh air and a workout! Though I haven’t had the chance yet, I’d imagine getting groceries or running errands with the Level is a very pleasant experience. And at it’s core, it still stands: that price! It’s outrageously good value for the sheer amount of bike you’re getting. Having such a versatile machine at such an affordable price makes the wind flying through your hair and the blurry whizzing-bys of cars and pedestrians all that much more enjoyable. Pun fully intended, this bike is a level above the rest.
