Introducing two new affordable electric city / urban bikes, the Raleigh Misceo and iZip Protour!
The Misceo is our first Shimano Steps mid-drive bike to land on Oahu. Our initial impressions were very good with this system as we had expected from a company like Shimano. The bike is also one of the lightest out of our inventory, weighing in at just 40 lbs (hey thats pretty light for a full size electric bike with fenders, a rack and integrated lighting!). The Steps kicks in very smooth and provides an ample amount of assist. The display is neatly placed above the stem, and a breakaway thumb pad near the left grip allows riders to easily adjust power levels and toggle the display functions. Overall the bike is very stealth, with an all black color scheme and understated highlights. Drivetrain and brakes are also Shimano, using an SLX derailleur and hydraulic braking system. Due to its light weight and low rolling resistance platform, the Misceo iE will also provide tremendous range on a full charge. Priced at $1999, this is one of the most affordable full featured electric bikes we have offered to date. Throw on some pannier bags and you're good to go!
Next up we have the Protour by iZip. This is essentially a variant of our immensely popular Haibike URBAN Plus model. It features the same 48 volt TranzX mid-drive system, stealth down tube battery, and of course the awesome COBI system! If you haven't already seen our in depth review of this full featured system, please check out our youtube video here. Long story short, the COBI puts your smartphone as your Ebikes display, unlocking tons of features such as anti theft, gps, music control, ambient light sensing, brake lights (activated by compressing the brake lever), turn signals, riding statistics, and much more. The Protour comes in an all black color scheme with red highlights. It is spec'd out with Shimano disc hydraulic disc brakes, a built in rear ABUS wheel lock (very European), Schwable Big Ben tires, and a SRAM drivetrain. The Protour is priced at $2299.
